VENEZUELA AND GREEN ALUMINUM PRODUCTION

VENEZUELA AND GREEN ALUMINUM PRODUCTION IS THE WORLD MOSTLY PRODUCING GREEN ALUMINUM? In the world there is strong pressure for industrial processes and their products to meet two conditions: 1) caring for the environment; 2) contribution to the circular economy. Aluminum being an infinitely recyclable material, it fully complies with the concepts of the circular economy. As for caring for the environment, being the production of aluminum an electro-intensive process, it is ideal to use electrical energy generated from renewable sources. When we review the energy sources used for the production of aluminum in 2019, we find that the combustion of coal contributed in the order of 60% of the electrical energy to produce the aluminum used worldwide.  In fact, hydroelectric energy only contributed with approximately 25% of the total aluminum produced during 2019.  When we consider all the sources, renewable and non-renewable, used to generate the electricity used by aluminum sm...

VENEZUELA, ALUMINIO E INVERSIÓN EXTRANJERA DIRECTA

Imagen

VENEZUELA HAS HIGH LEVEL HUMAN RESOURCES TO SUPPORT AN EFFICIENT ALUMINIUM INDUSTRY

Imagen
VENEZUELA HAS HIGH LEVEL HUMAN RESOURCES TO SUPPORT AN EFFICIENT ALUMINIUM INDUSTRY Much has been said about Venezuela's comparative advantages in producing aluminium, which is why Venezuela has been considered an ideal site for the construction of large-scale complex aluminium producers. Due to these conditions, during the decade of the eighties, the construction of plants was projected that would raise the installed production capacity in the country to two million tons of aluminium per year. However, for various reasons this potential was not exploited, so many investments that could be made in Venezuela were carried out in places such as Canada, South Africa, and more recently in several countries in the Middle East. Regardless of past mistakes made by government institutions that prevented the establishment of a world-class bauxite-alumina-aluminium integrated industry, Venezuela still has its comparative advantages to produce aluminium competitively; therefore the AlProTeS w...
